Climate change and society

Hellow everyone, today I will talk about climate change and society.

While climate change is a natural phenomenon, human beings are the main culprits in driving it to a dramatic level, affecting our planet and all the organisms that live on it.

For many years humans have promoted industrial development by abusing the use of fossil fuels, this generates a large emission of gases, specifically carbon dioxide (CO2), this gas is the main cause of the greenhouse effect.

The greenhouse effect is a process in which the gases emitted in the earth are retained in the atmosphere, allowing the passage of solar radiation, but not the exit of the radiation that emits and reflects the earth, ie the heat enters, but does not leave. This produces an increase in the Earth's temperatures, affecting animals, plants and living organisms that have to try to adapt to the heat waves that are produced by this effect. Not only does it affect the organisms directly, but also their habitats, since an increase in temperature means a general change in the environment, for example, the poles begin to melt increasing the water level and affecting the fauna of those areas, the properties of the water also change, affecting the flora and fauna of the oceans, drought begins to increase in semi-arid areas and many other examples of the damage caused by temperature in the environments.

Global warming is, in my opinion, the biggest problem the world has right now, but a large part of society does not pay as much attention to it as it should, especially the people with the most power and they own the industries that are largely to blame for all this. For that reason we must start the change by ourselves, share our knowledge with the greatest number of people to create awareness.

Some changes we can make in our daily lives can help in the fight against climate change, changes big or small, all add up to generate awareness and reverse the damage we have done to the ecosystem. One of the changes you can make is to recycle. People produce a lot of garbage a year, which pollutes a lot, so giving a new use to things you no longer use is a very good way to start making changes, it can be plastic, cardboard, clothing, aluminum and many other materials. You can also lower your consumption of fossil fuels by trying not to use cars or vehicles that use gasoline and replacing them with bicycles, skates, walking, etc.

One of the best changes you can make to help is to change your diet. As I said before CO2 is the main greenhouse gas, but it is not the only one, there is also butane gas (CH4) and it is the second most important gas contributing to the greenhouse effect. This gas is produced mainly by cattle, that is, cows. If you reduce your meat consumption you are helping to lower CH4 emissions, and not only that, the meat industry spends millions of liters of water to produce meat. So if you want to contribute in the fight against climate change, you can try to make these changes in your life, the planet will thank you.

My future job

Hi everyone, today I'll talk about my future.

I started studying forest engineering because I have always liked nature and also because I knew a little bit of mathematics so forest engineering was a good choice. Although it was not my first choice, after the first year of studying I liked it very much and I stayed.

I would like to specialize in the area of soil conservation. I believe that in any terrestrial ecosystem the most important component is the soil, so specialists are needed in that field. In addition, soil is a fundamental element for the preservation of areas that are endangered by human interventions.

I don't know exactly where I'd like to work, but I think my first jobs will be in an office and then I'd like to have a job where I have lots of travel and outings, because as I said before, I really like nature and I feel that being able to work with something I like as much as nature would be great.

I would like to get to know Chile completely and then travel abroad to specialize in something related to my studies and hopefully settle in another country. It is not that I don't like my country hahaha, but I prefer to have more experiences traveling a lot.

If none of this works, I would like to have a small house in the south, where I can subsist on my own food and have a quiet life, find a job in some small town and live there, but I repeat, this is only if the other thing fails hahaha.

Thank you very much for reading ;).

My Pet

 Hi everyone.

Today im gonna talk about my pet.

I have two pets, a cat and a dog, but the most recent was my cat, so I will talk about her.

It all started because my little brother wanted to have a pet, and I remember that one day in December 2019 my mom and my brother came home with a kitten. She was adopted in a foundation near our house, she was only 2 months old and very very small.

Naming it was quite complicated, i wanted to name her Kira and my brother Clarita, but since my brother was the one who wanted to adopt her, she ended up being named Clarita, even though I call her cat or Kira hahaha.

Clarita was growing up and earning the love of everyone in the house, but she is a bit of an angry hahaha, has very sharp claws and has scratched all of us in the house. She is a very quiet kitten, she sleeps a lot and always wants to be accompanied, but she does not like to be caressed for long.

It is the first time I have a cat, so it is a new experience for me, but I have learned to love it and play with it, despite its claws.

Thank you very much for reading.

Quarantine Hobbies

Hi everyone!!
Today we going to talk about my quarantine hobbies.
When the quarantine started I thought it was going to be great to be at home all day, but as time went by I began to realize that it was too boring and I said: I have to do something.

My first hobby was card games and chess. I played with my brothers all day, we played carioca, basket, poker , 21 and many other card games. At the beginning there were many I did not know and I got better and better with time, the same happened to me with chess and I got better and better

My second hobby I keep up until now and it is playing Playstation hahaha, the game is called Call of Duty Modern Warfare and it is what I did most in this quarantine.

Maybe this is not a hobby, but I also learned to cook some things, like "pie de limon" and sopaipillas, so now I cook them whenever I can. Also, my mom and my brothers liked it.
Those are my main hobbies in my quarantine, the truth is that they served me enough to be able to distract me in the confinement.

The best Concert ever

Hi to everyone!

Today in this blog we will talk about the best concert I've ever been to. Well, actually they were two of the best concerts I've ever been to  and in this post I will tell you what they are.

The first is the Roger Waters concert, which was at the national stadium in November 2018.This is one of my favorite concerts because it was a spectacular show, the music sounded amazing, the lights were great and best of all they played the best Pink Floyd songs.I remember that there was a balloon in the shape of a giant pig that floated around the stadium while they played. I went to this concert with my brother and my dad because the three of us really like that group.

The second best concert I have ever been to was in May 2016 when Limp Bizkit was presented at the Taetro Caupolican and I went to see them with my brother. This concert beyond the quality of the show was one of my favorites because I listened to songs from my childhood and adolescence. Also Limp Bizkit is a numetal band so there is a very energetic atmosphere, you jump a lot, sing a lot and even fight with the public. I remember that in the middle of the concert a person from the audience lit a flare next to me, I also remember that I left the concert with a sprained ankle.

Well, those were my favorite concerts I've ever been to. Thanks for reading

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Hi to everyone
Today in this blog we will talk about the place I would like to visit and that place is Japan. What attracts me most about japan is that it is a very rich country in culture.
Japan is an archipelago that is in the east of Asia, has a great diversity of flora and fauna, which makes it a place with very attractive landscapes. The most famous natural place is mount Fuji, it is the highest peak in Japan with 3776 meters and has also been the inspiration of many artists for their works.

As I said before, what I like most about this country is its culture, I'd love to know more about its art, its religion, its mythology, its food and many other things. Another thing I'd love to do in Japan is get a tattoo, because I'm a big fan of traditional Japanese tattooing.

If I had the possibility to live in Japan, I'd say yes, I'd like to try to learn the language and its customs. I have also read that the quality of life is very good, but I would not like to live in the capital because the pace of life is very fast, I'd like to live in some region further south.

Thanks for reading.
